Infrared Sensors
Infrared sensors are also known as IR sensors. Infra-red sensors detect and measure heat signatures, motion, and proximity.

Applications
- Infrared sensors are valuable for various applications including:
- Electronics.
- Robotics.
- Security systems.

Electronics
- Infrared sensors are used in remote controls for televisions, DVD players, and other electronic devices.
- Infrared sensors are used in thermal imaging cameras to visualise heat patterns in various environments.
- Infrared sensors are used in automatic doors to detect the presence of people approaching.

Robotics
- Infrared sensors are used to find out the position of line follower robots to detect paths on the ground.
- Infrared sensors are used in smart buildings to adjust lighting, heating, and ventilation systems.
- Gesture recognition allows users to control devices with hand gestures without physical touch.

Security systems
- Infrared sensors are used for motion detection and lighting control in security systems.
- Infrared sensors can detect the presence of intruders
- Infrared sensors can sense body heat or movement, triggering alarms and notifying authorities.
- Infrared sensors detect the presence of nearby objects, allowing for touchless interactions.
