    • List the elements of set A
  • List all the numbers between 10 and 15
  • Identify those that are even and list them as 10, 12 and 14
Example 2

Example 2

  • A = {1,3,6,8,9}, B = {2,3,7,8}

  • List the numbers in A∩BA \cap B

  • A∩BA \cap B means the numbers that are in both set A and set B

Example 3

Example 3

  • A = {2,3,5,6,9}, B = {2,4,7,8}

  • List the numbers in A∪BA \cup B

  • A∪BA \cup B means all of the numbers that are in A or B, so any unique number
