The Past Tense

When something has happened before, we use the past tense. You will have already learnt that most past tense verbs end in 'ed'. This is how the verb 'to watch' works in the past tense.

The Present Perfect Tense

We use the present perfect tense to talk about things that have happened more than once in the past or to talk about things that happened at an unknown time in the past.
