Regular ER Verbs in the Imperfect Tense
The imperfect tense is used to express what was happening, what used to happen or to give a description in the past. There are two different sets of endings to form the imperfect tense: one set for AR verbs and a common set to form the ER and IR verbs imperfect tense. To form the imperfect with ER verbs, you take off the 'er' and add the ‘ER & IR’ imperfect endings. Here is the example with 'beber':
