  • The day comes first in Spanish dates.
  • The format is:
    • day + de + month + de + year
  • The months are always in lowercase.

  • Use cardinal numbers for the days (uno, dos, tres, etc.).

    • enero, febrero, marzo, abril, mayo
    • junio, julio, agosto, septiembre, octubre, noviembre, diciembre
  • Months begin with a lowercase letter.
  • Remember to use de before and after the month when saying dates.

  • Always put 'de' before the year.
  • Say the year as a whole number.
  • Use cardinal numbers for years (dos mil veinticuatro).

  • El examen es el tres de abril de dos mil veinticuatro.
    • The exam is on 3rd April 2024.
