Pros of Cloud Applications
Cloud applications are gaining popularity, but they aren't ideal in every situation.

Easy access
- Files and applications can be accessed from any Internet-connected device.

Updates
- The end-user will never have to update their application, because it will have been upgraded on the central servers.
- This puts more control into the hands of the developer, who can make sure that their software is always kept secure.

Security
- Data is regularly kept secure and backed up by the hosting company.
- There is no need to employ any specialist IT managers.
Cons of Cloud Applications
Cloud applications are gaining popularity, but they aren't ideal in every situation.

Internet connection needed
- An Internet connection is needed at all times.

Privacy and security
- Users have no control over how their data is stored in the cloud.
- Hackers are more likely to attack data stored in the cloud than local data.

Pricing changes
- Cloud service providers may change their pricing plans at any time.
- If prices dramatically increase it may be difficult to find a suitable replacement.
