  • The immediate future is expressed in English as 'I am going to...'
  • This is expressed in the same way in French.
  • There are two steps involved in forming the immediate future:
    • present tense of 'aller' + infinitive
Aller: je, tu, il, elle, on

  • je vais → I am going to
  • tu vas → you are going to (singular)
  • il/elle/on va → he/she/it is going to
