Was the Revolt a Threat to the Feudal System?

Historians have different views to answer this question. Some argue that the threat to the Lords' power indirectly threatened the King's power while others argue that the feudal system as a whole was threatened.

By attempting to remove the power from the Lords, the rebels in effect were trying to remove the power from the King too.
