Mass Movement
Geography: Edexcel IGCSE, topic 1.1.2
Mass Movement
Mass movement is the large-scale movement of material downhill.

Sliding
- Sliding happens on steep slopes.
- Heavy rainfall saturates rocks, which become heavy and slide downwards.

Slumping
- Slumping happens when loose material is saturated by rainwater.
- The slope collapses because of gravitational energy, in a circular motion.
