Feminist Views on Divorce
Feminists believe that we live in a patriarchal society (a male-dominated society).
Feminist views
- Feminists argue that women are oppressed and exploited by men.
- Feminists believe that in the past, because of the different mentality at the time, women tended to be trapped in empty shell marriages (a marriage where spouses stay together but no longer love each other).
Women and divorce
- The fact that most divorces are generally initiated by women supports the idea that it is thanks to financial stability through paid work that women are no longer trapped in unhappy marriages.
