Physics: AQA A Level, topic 10.1.2
Defects of Vision
Myopia, hypermetropia and astigmatism are defects of vision we can correct using lenses.

Myopia
- Short sightedness, requires a concave lens to correct.

Hypermetropia
- Long sightedness, requires a convex lens to correct.

Astigmatism
- Caused by an imperfection in the curvature of the cornea.
- It is a condition in which the eye does not focus light evenly onto the retina.
- As a result, vision for both near and far objects appears blurry or distorted.
