Characterisation

Mr Frederick is argumentative, smart, corrupt and cruel.
He tricks Napoleon when they enter into business together by using forged bank notes. This makes Napoleon look foolish and shows that Frederick is dishonest.
Mr Frederick and his men invade Animal Farm and blow up the windmill. This causes great suffering to Animal Farm. He is shown to be aggressive and ruthless.

Context

Mr Frederick represents Hitler and Nazi Germany.
