Plagiarism
Plagiarism is when you copy someone’s work without asking or saying who did it.

Copying and pasting
- It is very easy to copy text using a computer and to paste it into your own document.
- If you copy and paste someone’s text and don’t say who wrote it, you are plagiarising.

Plagiarism
- Plagiarism is NOT allowed in schools, colleges, university or the workplace.
- It is quite easy to find out if someone has plagiarised something.

Avoiding plagiarism
- You can avoid plagiarism by:
- Using different sources of information - not just one.
- Using your own words.
- Always saying where your information comes from.
