Colour agreement with nouns

  • Most adjectives, including colours, agree in gender and number with the noun they describe.
  • Adjectives always come after the noun they are describing.
    • Eg. El gato negro (the black cat), la casa roja (the red house), las estrellas blancas (the white stars).
  • However, neither pink, 'rosa', nor orange, 'naranja', change gender or ending.
