Russia's exclusion

The Treaty of Versailles did not include Russia, as the Bolsheviks signed a separate peace in 1918.
Russia lost land to Germany through the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk before Versailles.

Italy's disappointments

Italy entered World War I in 1915 expecting new territories as promised in the Treaty of London.
