  • The Nazis did not overthrow the Danish government.
    • In return, the Danes agreed to work with the Germans and adapt their economy and industries to help the German war effort.
  • As a result, the Danes could reject the Germans' demands that the Danes discriminate against Danish Jews and the Holocaust was not as felt in Denmark during World War 2.

  • Monaco is a small state in the south of France.
  • The Monaco police handed 42 foreign (non-French) Jews to the Nazis and in exchange, Jews living in Monaco were protected.

  • To get favourable treatment from the Nazis, both Monaco and Denmark had to allow the Nazis to enact at least some of their agenda.
