Formalising education

  • After 1934, education became more formal.

Stalin's views on education

    • He produced his own pamphlets on subjects such as politics and linguistics.
    • He also had favourite ideas, such as Lysenko’s ideas on plant breeding.
    • He saw all other explanations as counter-revolutionary.
    • As such, the disruption Stalin himself caused in education held the country back.
