- People who lived in Britain called the Vikings 'Danes'.
- But Vikings came from all of Scandinavia.
- Scandinavia includes Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
- Vikings travelled to many parts of Europe.

- Vikings used longboats to travel by sea.
- Vikings traded goods like furs and metals.
- They also exchanged goods for silver and spices.
