- Use the guided notes to form an outline of the material to cover in the session.

- Create each slide. One slide should cover one idea, or vocabulary word, and serve as the basis for a flashcard.

- Write extensive notes for each slide. Ideally, these notes can serve as a transcript for students who need one.

- Collect student questions from email and create slides as needed to answer the questions.

- Create slides to cover any upcoming assignments.

- Write a “hook” for the first slide in the notes. Good hooks are often stories or questions.

- Double check that every slide has some kind of check for
understanding.
- Eg: polls, chat box questions, audible questions and answers, problems to be completed, etc.

- Where appropriate, ensure that guided practice is included in the slide deck

- Make sure to include a review slide and include a call for questions at the end of the session

- Save the slides as a PDF and post them to the weekly course module.
