- The Anglo-Saxon tribes turned into 7 kingdoms in Britain:
- East Anglia, Essex, Kent, Mercia, Northumbria, Sussex, Wessex.

Differences
- Each kingdom had its costumes, army, laws, and leaders.
- They used to fight with each other all the time.
- When one kingdom believed they were the strongest of them all, it would use the word 'bretwalda'.
- This meant they were the ruler of all Britain.
