Who was Queen Boudica?
- Boudica was the Queen of the Iceni tribe in Britain.
- Boudica's husband had agreed to be a client ruler of Rome.
- The Romans were taking money from the tribe and assaulting its people.

- When Boudica's husband died, she decided to fight the Romans.
- Boudica gathered an army of 200,000 warriors.
- She set fire to Camulodunum (Colchester), Londinium (London) and Verulamium (St. Albans).


The Romans come back
The Romans come back
- The Roman army was in Wales at the time.
- When they heard about Boudica, they came back to fight her.
- 10,000 Roman soldiers killed 80,000 Britons and won the war.
- Queen Boudica poisoned herself and died.
