This is a guide to support you whilst you are conducting your own research. Here are a few points that you need to consider before conducting a study.

Considerations

Are there any secondary sources that can be used as useful material?
Are practical issues sorted (e.g. time, access and money)?
Is there any chance of ethical issues being raised (e.g. harm, deceit, not being able to obtain informed consent)?
Is the research method used appropriate?
Will the research be representative, generalisable, valid and reliable?
Will there be any form of bias that might affect the objectivity of the results?
