The Cominform was a shortened name for the Communist Information Bureau. It was founded in 1947.
Role of the cominform
Role of the cominform
- The cominform controlled and coordinated the political and economic systems of the Soviet satellite states.
- The control of these states would be in line with orders directly issued from Moscow.
- Stalin did this in response to the actions of the West as he believed they were starting a US led global alliance against communism.
