How can students revise for essays? Here are some tips for your students to help them with essay preparation:
Revision tips
- Students who do well in exams usually have a very clear idea about what they’re going to write before they go into the exam.
- Generally speaking, they’ll have done lots of practice writing parts of essays in revision.
What do the best students do?
- They’ll have practised putting the best paragraphs together to form impressive full essays.
- They’ll have practised tweaking these essays to fit other similar exam questions.
- And, most crucially, they’ll have used retrieval practice to memorise the best chunks of their work.
