Formula

  • A formula is a special type of equation which shows the relationship between different variables.
    • E.g. Area of a circle (A) = π × radius of the circle² (r²)
Identity

Identity

  • An identity is an equation which is always true, whatever the value of the variables (e.g. x, y etc).
    • Note the special equals sign used for an identity.
