Complete the Pair - Counting
Many of the questions you will be asked require you to count dots, lines, zig-zags, squares or any other part of an image.

Question
- Does image A, B, C or D complete the pair?

Start with the complete pair
- The pattern in the first pair is the same as the pattern used to complete the second pair.

Find the pattern
- The only difference between the two images is the number of circles, so this is our pattern.
- The number of circles increases by 2 (from 3 to 5).

Apply the pattern to the second pair
- Now we use the pattern of circles increasing by two to work out what would complete the second pair.

Give the correct answer
- Shape B is the correct answer as the image contains six circles, following the pattern of increasing the number of circles by two.
