Today we are delighted to announce a partnership with The Tutor Trust, the education charity based in the North of England aiming to democratise tuition. This partnership will provide Tutor Trust tutors with access to a suite of exceptional resources to further facilitate a consistently high standard of tuition sessions.
Through this partnership with Tutor Trust, the tutors will now have access to a vast amount of resources which will assist in creating engaging sessions and set written assignments for tutees which they can work through together. These insights and materials will enable our tutors to plan how the personalised support given in tuition can be used most effectively.
A randomised control trial of Seneca’s impact, published in the Chartered College of Teaching’s Impact journal, found that students using the platform learned material twice as quickly as those who used traditional paper revision guides.
Stephen Wilks, CEO of Seneca Learning says “We are really excited to be working with The Tutor Trust to improve learning, revision and the application of cognitive science across the UK. Together we can help all students, particularly those from less advantaged backgrounds.”
Abigail Shapiro, Co-founder and Executive Director of The Tutor Trust says “We believe that the resources provided by Seneca Learning will offer our tutors a fantastic way to consolidate the learning from tuition sessions. We are excited to introduce Seneca to our tutors and tutees across Greater Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool.”
Lord Stanley Fink, a supporter of Tutor Trust and Seneca says “As someone who has a passion for helping disadvantaged Students and also believes in and invests in New Technology that has demonstrable benefits, I am delighted with the Partnership between the Tutor trust and Seneca Learning , which will enhance the benefits that Tutor trust is able to provide to the most disadvantaged Students. “
