Seneca Improves Exam Grades At The Leigh Academy

Last week, I gave a talk at the Leigh Academy Trust Conference. At the end of the presentation, one of the Business Studies teachers told me he had been successfully using Seneca with his students and had even noticed a trend between pupils using the platform a lot and getting good grades in their exams.

Mr Fred Gichuhi has very kindly shared his data with us, relative to his Year 10 students. As you can see in the graph below, we identified a positive correlation between time spent on Seneca and marks (%) in their latest Business exam.

Another interesting result from Mr Gichuhi’s data is that students who spent more time on Seneca also showed larger progress when comparing grades in the first exam with grades in the second exam.

Our team loves to see this kind of data proving that our day-to-day work actually helps out students across the country. We are therefore very keen to collect more of these success stories. If you have already done your own research and would like to share it, then do get in touch with me.

I’ll be happy to publish it or help with correlation graphs. Feel free to contact me at flavia@seneca.io. We also have a Google Sheets template that may make things easier.
