# Main Body of the Essay

CPD: You Can't Revise for GCSE English! (by Mark Roberts), topic 2.1.4

## Modifying Paragraphs

Looking at questions in this way gives students a much greater chance of being able to use planned essays. But to be on the safe side, it’s an excellent idea for students to build up a bank of prepared essays.

### An Inspector Calls

- A student studying An Inspector Calls, for example, might have three ready-to-go essays that cover the theme questions shown in the Venn diagram.

### Overlaps

- As the Venn diagram suggests, the student has noticed that there are overlaps between some of these themes.

### Adaptation

- This means they should be able to ‘borrow’ paragraphs from the essays, depending on the type of extract or exact wording of the question.
