# Imperfect Continuous

Spanish: AQA GCSE (2025 Exam), topic 8.3.3

## Imperfect/Past Continuous with Regular Gerunds

It is used to talk about ongoing actions in the past and is also called past continuous. To form the imperfect continuous, use the imperfect form of 'estar' followed by a gerund.

## Imperfect/Past Continuous with Irregular Gerunds

To form the imperfect continuous, use the imperfect form of 'estar' followed by the irregular gerund. It is used to talk about ongoing actions in the past.
