Seneca Use Case: Reviewing Key Topics

Many teachers use Seneca to review key topics with students. This can be done in three ways:

  1. In class (or during a virtual lesson)

Log in to Seneca and open the topic you want to review during that lesson. Use our slides and interactive questions as the basis for your explanation and teaching. They will help you to create an engaging lesson!

  1. As formative assessment

Right after having taught the topic, create an assignment on Seneca about that topic and ask students to complete it before the next lesson. Seneca will automatically grade the assignment and provide you with detailed information about each of your students. That way, you can check their learning and comprehension and make any necessary adjustments before moving on to the next topic.

  1. As assessment

After teaching a topic, create an assignment on Seneca to test your students' knowledge of that topic. The automated reports that Seneca provides inform you students' best grade, worst grade and average grade on that assignment, making it very easy for you to assess them. The assignments can be shared via Google Classroom and other platforms.

Here is a video explaining how to invite your students to Seneca. Any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch via email (rob@seneca.io) or Twitter (@seneca_k12)
